Boomers! Fountain Valley
Fountain Valley, CA
Boomers! Fountain Valley was previously known as the Fountain Valley Family Fun Center. It was built in 1970 and became Boomers! around 2000. There were other Huish Family Fun Centers in California including those in LaMesa, Oakland, Redwood City, Upland, Anaheim, Vista, El Cajon, and Escondido. These photos are from 2017. Boomers! Fountain Valley closed in 2020. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Blackbeard's Family Entertainment
Fresno, CA
I don't know how old Blackbeard's Family Entertainment's three mini golf courses are. The place might have opened in the 1990s. Regardless, the structures and statues have an old school feel. [map]

Twain Harte Miniature Golf
Twain Harte, CA
Twain Harte Miniature Golf was built in 1953. It is wonderfully old school. The single 18-hole course is open seasonally. [map]

Kings Beach Miniature Golf
Kings Beach, CA
Kings Beach Miniature Golf was built in 1957. Some of the obstacles are original. I was here during the off-season when the greens had been removed and the obstacles moved to the side. [map]

Tatonka Land Miniature Golf
Clearlake, CA
Tatonka Land Miniature Golf was built in 1953. Only the windmill remains from then. Most of the course was redone in the 1970s. Some of the other statues have been added in recent years. There was a neon sign across the street for Jules Cottages. It had a bottom sign for "Minitature Golf" with female golfer and an arrow that pointed at this business. When Jules Cottages was sold around 2021, both signs were removed. For more, see this website. [map]
