|Nick Engelbert's Grandview is located in Hollandale, WI. Engelbert built his first concrete sculptures here in the 1930s. By 1950, he had filled his entire yard with more than 40 pieces. The statues are embedded with broken pottery, glass, stones, shells, and other materials. He also covered his house in the same way. Engelbert was a self-taught artist and dairy farmer. He died in 1962 and the property is now maintained by the Kohler Foundation. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.|
