Although not "icebox" stations with porcelain enamel panels, this station and the one below still bear Texaco stars and stripes. There may have been porcelain panels originally on one or both of these buildings.
This former Texaco station in Lodgepole now houses the Wildeflour Baking Company. The "x" from the Texaco letters and two of the stars were kept. [map] |

| This former Texaco station in Sutherland also appeared vacant when this photo was taken in 2012. There was probably another building, now gone, which accompanied this service bay building. By 2021, the building had been painted tan and the stripes were painted red. [map] |

These former stations were probably built as Champlin stations. There are many other examples of this folded plate canopy design in Oklahoma.
By 2018, this canopy in Aurora was gone. By 2021, the building was gone as well. The Columbus canopy remains but the office building has been remodeled. It now houses a bait shop. [map] The Beatrice building appears to be the original. It now houses a used car dealership. [map] |

| This former station had Conoco memorabilia inside the office when these photos were taken in 2022. However, I believe the building was not in use otherwise. I don't know if this station was ever used as a Conoco or if it was just dressed up as one. By 2023, the Conoco stuff was gone and the building was vacant. [map] |

The former station in Sidney was probably a Standard Oil station originally. By 2022, the building had been remodeled and the porcelain enamel panels removed or painted over. The bathroom doors on the left were gone and a canopy was installed over the office. The building now houses the Pedalers Corner bike shop. [map]
This former station in Grand Island now houses Swede's Gun Shop and G.I. Loan & Pawn. The original gas station building was either rebuilt or expanded and remodeled. By 2021, the canopy was gone. |
