Storybook Gardens [gone]

Storybook Gardens, originally called Storybook Lands, opened in 1956. It was one of the first tourist attractions in the Dells area. There was a sister park in town known as the Biblical Gardens. It had life-sized figures depicting the life of Christ. That park was replaced with condos. Since around 2003, the emphasis at Storybook Gardens was on the Timbavati Wildlife Park which shared the location. The storybook part of the park closed in 2011. At that time, there were plans to sell the statues at auction. I don't know if that actually happened and, if so, where any wound up. I believe the ship building which served as the entrance has been destroyed. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, and 4.
