Wichita, KS
This NuWay Cafe location opened in 1930. There are a few other modern locations in town now. For more, see this website. [map]

Jack's North Hi Carryout opened in 1951. The name is derived from the restaurant's location across the street from North High School. Jack's was damaged by a fire in 2007 but reopened in 2009. It closed and reopened a couple of times after that. In 2017, the sign was repainted and the place was about to reopen again. The neon was reinstalled around 2020. In 2021, new owners turned the business into a donut shop known as "Jack's North Hi Donuts and the sign was repainted again. The neon for "Hamburgers" was removed and repainted as "Donuts". The owner may add LED rope to that. The toy jacks and "North Hi Carryout" were painted over. The neon for "Jack's" remains. The plastic panel signs which read "Jack's" and "Carryout" were swapped out for panels reading "Donuts" and "Coffee". For more, see this website. [map]
