The Hi-Way 50 Drive-in opened in 1946 and was still a single screen. It closed in 2021 but has reopened. [map]

State Line Drive-in

Harriman, TN
Twin-City Drive-in
Bristol, TN
The State Line Drive-in opened in 1947 and is still going strong. This drive-in is not far from both the VA and NC borders. For more, see this website. [map]

The Mid-Town Drive-in opened in 1949. It closed in 1980. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1995. This photo is from 2005. By 2011, the sign had been repainted purple and gold. The Pepsi logo was gone. The drive-in closed in 2013. For more, see this website. [map]

Summer Avenue Drive-in
Memphis, TN
The Summer Avenue Drive-in opened in 1966 with one screen. By 1985, there were two lots which were split into four. The place is now known as the Malco Summer Drive-In. The entrance has interesting hourglass-shaped light fixtures. I don't believe they are lit anymore. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Woodzo Drive-in
Newport, TN
The Woodzo Drive-in opened in 1965 and closed in 1998. For more, see this website. The screentower is still there. [map]
