Boondocks Diner [gone]
Deadwood, SD
The Boondocks Diner was a Valentine Diner, possibly from 1945. It may have been installed here in the 1950s. The diner was hidden from the front by a canopy. It was surrounded by an amusement park, stores, cabins, and camping. This photo is from 2012. In 2015, the complex closed and the owners put everything up for auction. However, the diner and some of the other buildings were sold to new owners who reopened the place. By 2021, the diner was gone and the property became an off-road rental place.
