Valentine diner
Reno, NV

2008:

2014:
This Valentine diner opened as Landrum's Hamburger System No. 1 in 1947. It had "Landrum's" in neon above the door like the one in Sparks below. The diner housed the Chili Cheez Cafe from the 1980s until 2000. It then became a real estate office. After that, it housed US Auto Title Loan. Around 2009, it housed Pat's New York Hot Dogs. By 2013, it became Beefy's Burgers. The diner is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The wall safe, shown in the photo at right above, has been preserved. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3. [map]

Valentine diner
Sparks, NV

2008:

2014:
This Valentine diner housed Landrum's Cafe when these photos were taken in 2008. This diner was also owned by Lowell Landrum and installed shortly after the one in Reno (see above). This diner later housed Conscious Cuisine. It now houses the Carlillos Cocina Mexican restaurant. [map]

Kimmie's Coffee Cup
Reno, NV

2008:

The Kimmie's Coffee Cup building was modeled after the Valentine diners shown above on a much larger scale. It was built on-site as an unsuccessful attempt to restart the Landrum's chain. The building housed the Southside Cafe before becoming Kimmie's Coffee Cup. In 2017, the name was changed to The Cup Cafe. [map]
