Peerless Cleansers
Providence, RI
The Peerless Cleansers building has glass block and nice free-standing sign letters. By 2017, the letters were gone and the building was housing a plumbing business. [photo thanks DinerFan] [map]

Tercat Tool & Die
Providence, RI
Tercat Tool & Die opened for business here in 1941. These photos are from 2007. By 2014, the glass block windows had been filled in with concrete. The Tercat letters above the entrance have also been removed. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Cal-Art Tower
Providence, RI
The Cal-Art Tower was built in 1939. Cal-Art is an abbreviation for California Artificial Flower Company. I believe the company is still there with multiple tenants in the building now. [map]

Fain's Fine Carpet & Rugs
Providence, RI
Fain's Fine Carpet & Rugs occupied the ground floor of this building since 1934. I believe the vitrolite and other details are from then. The store closed in 2008. These photos are from 2010. Later that year, the Plan Bean coffee shop opened in part of the space. The FAINS sign has been covered with a sign for the Loominous carpet store. For more, see this website. [map]

Theodore Francis Green Airport
Warwick, RI
The Theodore Francis Green Airport opened in 1931 as the Hillsgrove State Airport. This terminal building is from 1933. It is now used as office space. [map]

Civil Air Patrol Wing Headquarters [gone]
Warwick, RI
The Civil Air Patrol Wing Headquarters was located near the T.F. Green Airport. It was probably built in the 1930s. These photos are from 2010. The building was demolished around 2014.
