Fine Arts Building
Great Falls, MT
The Mercantile Building and Fine Arts Building were built in 1937 as a WPA project at the North Montana State Fairgrounds, now the Montana ExpoPark. The property is used for the Montana State Fair as well as agricultural shows, rodeos, basketball tournaments, and funfairs. These buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Helena, MT
This First National Bank and Trust building was designed by Shanley, Willson and Hugenin and built in in 1931. It now houses a U.S. Bank branch. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Montana State Arsenal, Armory, and Drill Hall
Helena, MT
The Montana State Arsenal, Armory, and Drill Hall was designed by Norman DeKay and built from 1940-1942. The concrete building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It now houses a Montessori School. For more, see this website. [map]

Helena Middle School
Helena, MT
The Helena Middle School was built from 1934-1935 as Helena High School. The buildings were heavily damaged by an earthquake in 1935 just a month after the school was dedicated. It took nearly two years to rebuild using concrete instead of brick. It became the Middle School in 1955. The bottom two photos above show the Gymnasium. For more, see this website. [map]
