The Westwood Appliance building was built in 1949. By the mid-1960s, the building was housing Hal-Ray Appliance. It later housed a Vespa dealer. The building is now a residence. [map]

Agriculture Hall

The Agriculture Hall was built as part of the Kansas Free Fair. The name was changed to the Mid-America Fair in 1958 and in 1977 it became the Sunflower State Fair. I believe the Agriculture Hall was built in 1925. The former fairgrounds entrance, shown bottom right above, was probably built at the same time. [map]

former Grant County High School Gym
Ulysses, KS
The Grant County High School Gym was built in the 1930s with WPA funding. The school's main building directly north was demolished and replaced with the mid-century modern Kepley Middle School. A new gym was built across the street around then. This Art Deco building is used by the Middle School. [map]

American Legion Hall
