The Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame is a museum with all things related to fishing including lures, rods and reels, outboard motors, mounted fish, and a video theatre. In addition to the displays, there is a cute children's playground with a fish theme. But what is most impressive is their "Sea of Fishes" collection of giant fiberglass fish.
The muskie is the largest fiberglass structure in the world (4 1/2 stories tall, 140 feet long, and 10 feet wide). It was created in 1978 by Dave Oswald of DWO Fiberglass. There is a half-block long museum inside and an observation deck in the fish's open mouth. The mouth will hold 20 people at one time. Surrounding the muskie are nine other giant fish including a rainbow trout, a walleye, a bluegill, a Coho salmon, a perch, a smallmouth and a largemouth bass. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.
