The Lighthouse Point Park Carousel is a four row, Murphy-Carmel/Looff built in 1911. It has the original Stinson-Wurl band organ with a figure that rotates his head and directs with his baton. There are 56 jumpers, 13 standers, one camel and two dragon chariots. The carousel may have originally been located in West Haven, CT. It has been here since 1916. By 1977, the carousel was in bad shape and it was dismantled and put in storage. In 1982, it was restored and reinstalled. For more, see this website.
