Cleve-Hill Tire & Auto
Buffalo, NY
I believe Cleve-Hill Tire & Auto has been here since 1976. The building has some Art Deco touches but they were probably added later. The office part of the building was possibly built, or at least remodeled, in the 1920s or 1930s. From the number of bays, it would suggest that this has always been a service garage of some kind. Kerr's Tire Korner
Erie, PA
Kerr's Tire Korner opened in 1971. The building is obviously older than that. It may have been used by another tire dealer, gas station, or garage previously. [map]

Belmont Tire
Belmont, CA
Pahl Tire Company [gone]
Madison, WI
The Belmont Tire building appears to be from the 1960s. [map]

The Pahl Tire Company operated at this location since 1936. The building was constructed in 1930 as Edwards Super Service Station, a gas station and garage. By 1933, this was a Pennco station selling Barnsdall Oil products. In 2013, the business closed and the property was sold. The building was still there in 2014 but gone by 2016.

Belknap Tire Co.
Laconia, NH
Belknap Tire has been around since the 1940s. This building appears to be from the 1950s. These photos are from 2004. By 2013, the signs on the building had replaced with backlit plastic versions. [map]

Southern Tire Service
Louisville, KY
Southern Tire Service was founded in Louisville in 1920. This building is from 1958. These photos are from 2010. By 2014, the building had been repainted green. All the signs remained in place. [map]

Hughes Bros. Tire
Wilmington, NC
Hughes Bros. Tire features an enormous canopy. The building looks like it's probably from the 1940s. [map]

Mt. Pleasant Tire Service
Mt. Pleasant, MI
Mt. Pleasant Tire Service opened here in 1936. [map]

Roosevelt Tire Service
Gastonia, NC
former Goss tire showroom [gone]
Plattsburgh, NY
Roosevelt Tire Service opened in 1939 as a retreading business. The business moved to this location in 1954. [map]

This Goss Tire showroom was part of the Vermont chain. Knight Automotive, a new car dealer, was still using this round building as a tire store when this photo was taken in 2007. By 2012, Knight demolished the building and replaced it with a new one.
