Firestone Building
Bristow, OK
This Firestone Building was built in 1930. It housed a Firestone store with a gas station on-site. The building was restored in 2011 and now houses the Bristow Body Shop. The new neon sign was built in a 1930s style with a Firestone logo on top. I don't know if it was based on an original sign. I believe the sign pole is original. [map]

Swansons
Tire Co. [gone]
Oklahoma City, OK
Firestone [gone]
Woodward, OK
Swansons Tire Co. had one of the smaller, rarer "bow tie" signs. The neon was gone. This sign was supported by a fluted column style pole which appeared to be cast iron. I have not seen another Firestone sign installed on one of these anywhere else. In 2015, the business closed and this sign was removed. The pole disappeared in 2016.

The Firestone in Woodward had a full-sized bow tie sign. This photo is from 2011. By 2014, the larger sign had been replaced with plastic signs. This smaller neon Firestone sign remained on the lot. Around 2016, it was removed as well. The store is still open.

Walker Tire Co. [gone]
Guthrie, OK
The Walker Tire Co. was established in 1979. The Firestone letters were added to the building around 2012. They were gone by 2021. Walkers is still there.

Parker Oil Co.
Sand Springs, OK
The Parker Oil Co. property serves as gas station, garage, Firestone tire dealer, and real estate office when these photos were taken in 2011. By 2016, the pumps had been removed. [map]
