Shelly's
Cowboy Bar &

The Golden Spur Cafe sign was here by the 1960s. There were neon letters on top of the spur on each side spelling out "Cafe". The Shelly's Cowboy Bar sign was built after that. [map]

Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters was founded in Casper in 1919. The company moved to this location in 1947. Another location opened in Billings, MT in 1979. These signs are from the mid-1960s. They were restored in 2010. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3. [map]

The El Mark-O Lanes signs are probably from the 1950s or 1960s. [map]

Sanford's Grub & Pub
Casper, WY
Sanford's Grub & Pub has a collection of neon signs inside the restaurant. I don't believe the gas station signs in the top row or the Goodyear sign in the second row had neon originally. The Pontiac sign might be an original or a replica. The Dog n Suds sign is probably original. The "Food" sign was originally a Ford sign like this one.

Cowboy
Discount Liquors
Cheyenne, WY
Lariat Motel
Cheyenne, WY
Cowboy Discount Liquors, a liquor store and bar, has been closed for many years. This rooftop sign remains. It evidently had neon at one time. For more, see this website. [map]

The Lariat Motel sign had neon originally. It was probably built in the 1950s. [map]

The Plains Hotel opened in 1911. This neon sign appears to be contemporary (not vintage). For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3. [map]

The towering Firebird Motor Hotel sign is probably from the 1950s. For more, see this website. [map]

The Redwood Bar & Lounge sign appears to be from the 1950s. For more, see this website. [map]

Cheyenne, WY
Husky
Cheyenne, WY
The Cheyenne Motel sign is probably from the 1960s. For more, see this website. [map]

This Safeway parking sign is probably from the 1960s or 1970s. I only know of a few others like this that are left. [map]

The Husky gas station sign stands next to a Candlewood Suites hotel. There may have been a Husky station here originally. This sign is probably a recreation of an earlier sign. According to a gas station expert, Husky never built signs like this. The top portion is probably based on a Husky, single-sided diecut sign. [map]

Town & Country Shopping Center
Cheyenne, WY
The Town & Country Shopping Center sign is probably from the 1950s. The shape of the pole sign looks very similar to Goodyear Tires signs. [map]

Irma Grill is part of the Irma Hotel which opened in 1902. This sign is probably from the 1950s. For more, see this website. [map]

North Fork Anglers, a fly fishing store, opened in 1984. This sign appears to be from then or after that. [map]

Cassie's Supper Club opened in 1922. The cowboy sign is supposedly from the 1940s. It appears to either a replica sign or a thoroughly refurbished original. The neon letters appears to be modern. The sign with the parrot is probably from the 1950s or 1960s. For more, see this website. [map]
