The Lefty's Bar sign might be from the 1950s. The bar closed in 2012 just before this photo was taken. The sign is gone now. For more, see this website.

The Apollo Liquors Superette sign was installed in 1970. The word "Liquors" flashed on and off at night. Around 2023, the neon was removed from one side of the sign and the spacecraft was outlined with LED tubing. [map]

The Maid-Rite chain was established in 1926 in Muscatine, IA. I don't know when this location opened. It closed in 2013 and the building was demolished later that year. The sign is gone now. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

I don't know how old this Elks Lodge sign is. I have seen similar Elks designs but not any that match this one. [map]

These King Koin Laundry signs were mass-produced. They were probably made in the 1960s and/or 1970s. The middle part of the sign probably read "Launderette". The King Koin Launderettes in Winona and Blackduck are still operating. This former chain had locations in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and maybe other states as well as Canada. For more, see this website. The Classic Corner Liquor Store sign might be fairly modern. My guess is from the 1970s or later. There is also a rooftop sign. [map]

Brewster Electric was gone but this sign remained until around 2019.

The Central Liquor Depot signs appear to be from the 1950s. The store closed in 2017 and these signs were removed.

The Hub sign is from 1964 but the Hub itself is long gone. The sign was restored and is now installed outside the Northeastern Saloon & Grille. For more, see this website. [map]

Shep's Bar opened in 1950 and this sign is probably from then. The bar closed around 2006. The sign was auctioned off in 2021. It is now displayed inside Starbeck's Smokehouse in Cedar Falls, IA.

The Crookston Eagles Club was established in 1904. This sign might be from the 1940s or 1950s. It probably had more detail originally. [map]

This Mobilgas sign was installed at a Mobil station. It appeared to be a modern simulation of these signs. This photo was from 2008. By 2012, the sign was gone.

The Wild West Liquors sign appeared to be from the 1950s or 1960s. This photo is from 2011. The sign was removed by 2017. It is currently for sale at a store in town.

The Spirit Bottle Shop closed shortly after this photo was taken in 2011. This sign was gone by 2012.

The North Pole Bar opened in 1935. These signs are obviously much later than that. The bar closed in 2014 and I don't believe it ever reopened. The signs were gone by 2019.
