Grand Forks, ND
The Lyons Auto Company was established in 1894 as a bicycle sales and repair business. The company was selling automobiles by 1904. In the early years, Lyons sold Franklin, Hudsons, and Hupmobiles. The company moved to its present location in 1912. This garage was built next door in 1929. The garage was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The neon signs were installed on the auto parts store. They were gone by 2018. Both buildings were vacant in 2019 and then demolished in 2022.

Ford Building
Hillsboro, ND
This Ford Building now houses Paul's Hometown Repair. Does anyone know when the dealership building was built or anything else about it? [map]

Ford Building
Fargo, ND
This Ford Building was designed by John Graham and built in 1915 as a Ford Motor truck assembly plant. There were showrooms, stock rooms, and a garage on the ground floor. The second floor had offices and a repair shop. The third floor was used for the assembly plant. The nearby railroad had tracks leading right into the building. In 1956, Ford moved the operations to Minneapolis and closed this building. The building now houses retail, office space, and condos. For more, see this website. [map]
