This Veterans Memorial is installed in Veterans Memorial Park. It appears to be mid-century but it was actually built from 1990-1991. The Memorial was designed by Harry Jones. [map]

This First Lutheran Church was built in 1955. [map]

This prefabricated house might be from the 1960s or 1970s. There are similar examples in Marathon, FL, Roanoke, AL, and elsewhere in the country. [map]

Dacotah Bank
Lemmon, SD
This Dacotah Bank was built in 1957 as the Bank of Lemmon. [map]

Abbey of the Hills Inn & Retreat Center
Marvin, SD
This Abbey of the Hills Inn & Retreat Center was designed by Edo Belli and built from 1949-1950 as a Benedictine monastery. It was known as the Blue Cloud Abbey. [map]

Manor Motel

Church of Saints Peter & Paul
Pierre, SD
The Manor Motel looks like it was built in the 1950s or 1960s. It is now known as the Milbank Motel. The Millstone Family Restaurant next door also has a sloping roof like this and was probably built at the same time. [map]

The Church of Saints Peter & Paul was designed by Barry Byrnes and built from 1941-1942. For more, see this website. [map]

Dahl Arts Center

The Dahl Arts Center was built in 1974. In 2009, it tripled in size. [map]

This microwave tower is on the roof of the CenturyLink building. The building originally housed the Northwestern Bell Building and later AT&T. This concrete tower might be mid-century but I'm really not sure. There's a similar tower in Yankton, SD. [map]

Holy Cross Chapel
Rapid City, SD
The Holy Cross Chapel was designed by Mark F. Pfaller and built in 1962. It was originally built for St. Martin's Benedictine Monastery. It is now used by the Terra Sancta Retreat Center. [map]

Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Rapid City, SD
