The Assembly Center was built in 1971 as a basketball arena on the campus of Louisiana State University. In 1988, it was renamed the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, after the death of LSU's star player. Sometime between 2012 and 2016, the original lights were removed. For more, see this website. [map]
