World's Finest Frozen Custard & Family Fun Center
Chesterfield, MI
World's Finest Frozen Custard & Family Fun Center features a mini golf course, a playground, and an ice cream stand. The business opened in 1993. I don't know if there was another mini golf course here before that. The figures include an International Fiberglass Golfer, a modified A&W Papa Burger, and assorted fiberglass animals. The swan came from someplace known as "Bob Lo Island's Tunnel of Love". The 20-foot-tall bull came from a Detroit steakhouse and the giant cow was originally located in Chelsea, MI. The camel, lion, chicken, and hippo were produced by Ben Robinson of the Plycrete Mold Co. which marketed many of its statues to mini golf courses in the 1960s and 1970s. Some of the other statues here may have been produced by that company. [map]

Jawor's Miniature Golf (now Gratiot Golf Center)
Roseville, MI
Jawor's Miniature Golf, aka Jawor's Putt-Putt Golf, is now part of the Gratiot Golf Center. There are two courses with vintage statues, as well as a driving range and pro shop. The mini golf opened in 1954. The elephant and gorilla were produced by Ben Robinson of the Plycrete Mold Co. which marketed many of its statues to mini golf courses in the 1960s and 1970s. Some of the other statues here may have been produced by that company. [map]
