Sandwich Mini Golf
Sandwich, MA
Sandwich Mini Golf opened in 1950 and was built by Maurice Burke, who still maintains the place while adding new holes. You can play the 18-hole course or all 27 holes. Sandwich Mini Golf is built on the Cranberry River which subject the course to flooding, especially during high moon tides. There are many bridges and regionally-themed holes which are named after the owner's grandchildren. For more, see this website. [map]

Cape Cod Storyland Golf [gone]
Hyannis, MA
Cape Cod Storyland Golf was built in 1989 with a Cape Cod history theme. The nicely constructed replicas of historic buildings sat to the sides of the holes with informative plaques. The holes themselves presented modern challenges (small hills, etc. rather than using the "props" as obstacles). There were also bumper boats with water guns. In 2005, the place closed. The land was sold for over $2 million and will be developed for retail use/condos. The small buildings were saved and moved to the designer's family estate.

Cape Cod Mini Golf [gone]
Hyannis, MA
Cape Cod Mini Golf was from the 1950s and offered nicely-preserved, classic obstacle-style holes. This course was designed by T.J. Neil who also built the West Main Mini Golf in Hyannis (now Lightning Falls Adventure Golf with a modern rocks and water style). By 2008, Cape Cod Mini Golf was demolished and replaced with retail stores.

Putter's Paradise
West Yarmouth, MA
Putter's Paradise features more figures by T.J. Neil. It is probably from the 1950s and is immaculately maintained. For more, see this website. [map]

Joe's Driving Range [gone]
Falmouth, MA
Joe's Driving Range appeared to be a vintage course, complete with an ice cream stand. In 2011, the city purchased the property and turned it into a park.
