These Haunted Trails courses feature many of the same style figures. The Burbank course was built in 1975. The one in Joliet was built in 1988. There is a lot of water and landscaping but the real focus is on the fun monsters and tricky, old-style holes. The same owner operates an Enchanted Castle theme course in Lombard, IL. Golf-A-Rama [gone]
Beach Park, IL
Golf-A-Rama opened in 1959. The place closed in 2005 and was abandoned and derelict until 2009. The front course was restored then. There was still a course on the rear of the property. There was another business next door which had go-kart track and batting cages. That place closed in the mid-1980s and was overgrown with weeds. However, the sign was still there (see above). These photos are from 2009 and 2011. By 2015, this placed had closed again and was completely overgrown. It was demolished in 2016. I don't know if the sign was saved.
