Wickham Stone Park

(hit "refresh" to get the most recent version of this page; click on photos for larger images)

Wickham Stone Park in Palmyra, TN is a collection of the folk art creations of E.T. Wickham. He began creating these statues in 1952 when he was 69 and continued until his death in 1971. The 30 life-sized statues represent political and religious figures as well as Indian chiefs. They were created with rebar, chicken wire, and cement. Unfortunately, time and vandals have taken their toll on the statues. Some of the smaller statues have been moved to a safer location. For more, see this website.
