Gloe Brothers Service Station
Wood River, NE
The Gloe Brothers Service Station was built in 1933. It had been a Sinclair and a Skelly station over the years. The station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was restored in 2001 and now houses a Heritage Bank branch. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Mayfair Service Station
Sidney, NE
Schneider Oil station
Schuyler, NE
The former Mayfair Service Station was built in 1947. [map]

This Schneider Oil station was probably built in the 1920s or 1930s. [map]

former station
Sidney, NE
This former station might be a remodeled Phillips 66 that has been incorporated into a larger building. I'm told that in the 1940s and 1950s, it was known as Moseman Service and was a Sinclair station. The Mosemans lived in the second floor of the building. The building now houses the LuvUrLox hair salon. [map]

former station
Hastings, NE
former station
Alliance, NE
This former station in Hastings has apparently been abandoned for many years. It was a Hudson gas station at some point. Does anyone know when it was built, what brand of gas it originally sold, or anything else about it? For more, see this website. [map]

This former station in Alliance may have been a former Phillips 66 station. However, the gable above the door is too short. [map]

former Phillips 66 station
North Platte, NE
former Phillips 66 station [gone]
Central City, NE
This former Phillips 66 station in North Platte appeared to be vacant or used by Twizted Needle Tattoo located next door when these photos were taken in 2012. I believe this station was built around 1930. [map]

This former Phillips 66 station in Central City had been remodeled quite a bit. This photo is from 2006. The building was still there in 2015. By 2016, it had been demolished.

former Phillips 66 station?
Ogallala, NE
former Phillips 66 station
Omaha, NE
This building in Ogallala might be a former Phillips 66 station. It now houses the office of the Oregon Trail Motel, originally the Oregon Trail Court. [map]

This former Phillips 66 station in Omaha is now used as part of a residence. [map]

former Phillips 66 station
Sutherland, NE
former station
Sutherland, NE
This former Phillips 66 station was built in the 1930s. It appeared to be vacant when this photo was taken in 2012. [map]

This other former station in Sutherland was built around 1927. When the station closed around the mid-1960s, it was a Frontier Oil station. Later, the building housed Saxton's Fruit Stand which painted over the Frontier sign. The building has been vacant since at least the early 1990s. The new shingle roof was installed just before these photos were taken in 2012. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

former station
Sutherland, NE
This building in Sutherland appears to be a former station. [map]

former station
Kearney, NE
This former station was known as Grantham's Gas. It looks like it was built in the 1920s or 1930s. The Grantham family also owned Grantham's Cafe next door. That building is now gone. This former station is now home to a State Farm Insurance office, a Merle Norman Cosmetics outlet, and the Platform Hair Studio. Does anyone know more about this building? [map]
