former Gulf station
London, KY
This former Gulf station was vacant when these photos were taken in 2007. By 2009, the building was housing London Auto Service.

In 2007, the building on the adjoining lot had the same blue and white porcelain enamel panels (photo on right above). I assume it was built in conjunction with the Gulf station for additional bays. By 2009, those panels had been removed and the brick underneath is now exposed. That building now houses a tattoo studio. For more, see this website. [map]

former Pan-Am station [gone]
Cave City, KY
This former Pan-Am station looked like it had been abandoned for many years when these photos were taken in 2007. By 2013, this building had been drastically remodeled. For more, see this website. [map]

former Shell station [gone]
Magnolia, KY
This former Shell station was missing at least part of the roof when this photo was taken in 2007. The derelict building was still there in 2013. It was gone by 2022.

former Sunoco station
Louisa, KY
This former Sunoco station was no longer selling gas but the owner had left the signs up when these photos were taken in 2012. By 2014, the Sunoco signs were gone and the building was vacant. Only the caduceus sign remained on the building and that will most likely be gone soon if it's not already. There are only a handful of these caduceus signs still on display. [map]

Duff's Service
Lexington, KY
Duff's Service was built in 1954 as an Aetna station. In 1957, it became an Ashland station. The business operated as Duff's Service until around 2018. The building now houses Brakes4Less and the building has been painted black. [map]

former Ashland Oil station
Lexington, KY
This former Ashland Oil station housed Denny's Auto Center when these photos were taken in 2010. The fourth bay on the right was a later addition. The building now houses Dean's Auto Care Center. [map]

former Phillips 66 station
Winchester, KY
This former Phillips 66 station is an early, small version of the company's batwing station. There were originally freestanding "Phillips 66" letters on the canopy. These photos are from 2010. In 2013, the building was housing Scrubbles & Bubbles Auto Detailing. It now houses Shortstop Automotive. For more, see this website. [map]
