Volpe's Service Station
La Salle, IL
Volpe's Service Station has been pumping gas since 1940. I don't know what brand was sold here originally but it was a Sinclair station in the 1950s. It was also a Texaco station in the past. Volpe's was doing business as a Mobil station when these photos were taken in 2012. [map]

former station
Rock Island, IL
This former station was probably built as a Skelly station based on the diamond-shaped windows. [map]
