Spirit Lake, IA
Vick's Corner opened in 1930 as a gas station and hamburger stand. The businesses were across the street from each other. In the 1960s, the station was moved to its present location. For more, see this website. [map]

This former Conoco station was still pumping gas as Majors Service when these photos were taken in 2012. By 2017, it was closed. [map]

This former Conoco station and the one shown above were built around 1931. There was a third one built in Davenport at the same time which is gone now. This building was housing the Hilltop Cycle Center when these photos were taken in 2012. By 2016, the building was housing the Megan Brown Photography Studio. It appeared to be vacant by 2019. [map]

This former Conoco station was built in 1931. It was saved from demolition and moved in 2010 to a temporary location. These photos are from 2012. In 2014, the building was moved again. The "Filling Station" now houses the Kathedral Church's youth center. [map]
