Shady Glen opened in 1938 as a dairy store. It is now a full-scale restaurant with several dozen flavors of homemade ice cream. They have another shop in a mall in downtown Manchester which opened in 1965 but it has been remodeled quite a bit. [map]

Rich Farm Ice Cream Shop features ice cream made on-site from its own dairy herd. There are picnic tables, fields of corn to gaze at and young cows to pet. The farm is a 100-acre spread with hay rides and pumpkins in season. [map]
