The Aldersons store opened in the 1930s and is still in business. It sells clothing, jewelry, gifts, books, etc. [map]

Algoma, WV
The Algoma Coal and Coke Company Store was built in the 1930s. The building later housed the Tug River Health Clinic. It appeared to be vacant when these photos were taken in 2012. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [map]

Feuchtenberger Bakery

The Feuchtenberger Bakery building appears to be from the 1940s. Does anyone know what year it was built and/or when it shut down? The building now houses Swope Construction. [map]

This Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad station was built in 1946. It is now used as an Amtrak station. The interior features a terrazzo floor with "Chessie", the sleeping kitten mascot of the C&O Railroad. [map]

Margaret Manson Weir Memorial Swimming Pool
Weirton, WV
The Margaret Manson Weir Memorial Swimming Pool was built in 1934. Inside this round building is an oval-shaped pool. The pool closed in 2005 and was nearly demolished in 2012. It is now being restored. [map]
