Pullen Park Carousel
Raleigh, NC
The Pullen Park Carousel is a Dentzel from 1912. It was moved here in 1921. The carousel has 19 jumping horses, 10 standing horses, 4 cats, 1 deer, 1 mule, 4 ostriches, 4 pigs, 4 rabbits, 2 giraffes, 1 tiger, 1 lion, 1 goat, 2 chariots and a Wurlizter Model 125 Military Band Organ. Restoration took place in 1977, again 1982, and is still ongoing. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

Menagerie Carousel
Burlington, NC
The Menagerie Carousel is a 3-row Dentzel from around 1906-1910. It was located in the 1920s at the Locust Point Amusement Park in Oak Harbor, OH and later moved to the Forest Amusement Park in Genoa, OH. It was moved here in 1948. It was restored from 1981-1985 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The 46 figures include: 26 horses and two chariots, as well as four ostriches, four cats, four rabbits, four pigs, one reindeer, one giraffe, one lion, and one tiger. For more, see this website.
